Introduction:
If you don't already know me, my passion is building workflows. I spend countless hours trying to find the best ways to accomplish generation, upscaling, detailing, and more. If you have uploaded a workflow on this site, odds are I've looked at it. When a custom node pack comes out, I study the example workflows. Then I try to build the best possible workflows I can, in the hope that people will not only be able to generate the highest quality images out there, but also learn from my process, just as I have learned from the workflows created by those before me.
Anyone who has ever opened one of my workflows from the very start has seen the number of detailed notes I try to translate into Chinese.. They also have probably seen that I'm not the best speller (my hands don't work right) 🙄. Super annoying when you are trying to feed one of my notes into a translator. I also come across workflows quite often in languages I cannot read.
If I'm sitting here using an LLM to translate and it uses very few tokens, why not just make it internal?
But what languages?
Visitors from the US are only about a fifth of CivitAI's traffic. Japan is around 13 - 14%, China about 8% (probably more, a lot of it does not show up in the counts) and Korea 5 - 7%. That is a quarter of the site reading my notes through a translator.
Not anymore.
In most of my newer workflows, the notes, the tooltips, and the guided tours in my node packs now come in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, already saved right inside the workflows, and LC Vision can translate any note into 14 languages on your own machine.
In this guide, we'll discuss the following:
What gets translated
Tooltips
Guided tours
LC Notes
How to change your language
Translating a note yourself
Will it fit my card?
Summary
Note:
Screenshots are from my test copy of ComfyUI with the LC Vision LLM Modules workflow (it ships in the LC Vision Pack). Node names and input names stay in English on purpose: when you follow a tutorial or a workflow from someone else, "max_tokens" is "max_tokens" in every language.
What gets translated 🌐
Tooltips: every node and setting in my packs, in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. They follow ComfyUI's own language setting.
LC Notes: the notes in my example workflows can be transleted with the click of a button. No model, no download, they are just there.
You can also swap out notes in ANY workflow for LC notes in vision assistant. Then translate and save them for anyone's workflows.
Guided tours: the Vision Assistant tours switch language with the notes. A tour can also be written by hand in any language, and the readers get it in theirs.
The Vision Assistant itself: the sidebar and the tour editor follow your language too.
Everything else: any note can be translated into 14 languages with one click, by LC Vision, locally.
💡 Small file: on my Krea 2 flagship workflow, all the saved translations together only add about 91 KB (about 11% of the file).
Tooltips
Hover over any widget on any of my nodes. Same widget, same node, four languages:

The widget stays "max_tokens" in all four. Only the explanation changes.
Numbers and units survive. "0.55 words per token" is in every version, not rounded or dropped.
Tooltips switch the moment you change ComfyUI's language (a reload, nothing to download).
Guided tours
The Vision Assistant tours walk you through a workflow step by step and point at the settings that matter. Same step, four languages:

The buttons and step counter come from the Vision Assistant (Back, Next, step 3 of 6).
The language button (top right of the card) switches the tour on the spot.
The node and setting names stay in English, so the highlight on the canvas still matches what you read.
💡 Writing your own tour? Write it in your own language. The tour remembers what language it was written in, and the Vision Assistant can translate it for everyone else (🌐 Translate to... in the tour menu). The translated copies are saved in the workflow with it.
LC Notes
Every LC Note has a language dropdown at the top:

✏️ is the language the note was written in.
✅ means a translation is saved in the note. It shows instantly.
❌ means there is no translation yet. Pick it and LC Vision writes one on your machine (see below), then it is saved in the note too.
How to change your language
Both live in the ComfyUI settings. Search language:

Comfy > Locale > Language: ComfyUI's own language. The tooltips follow this one.
LC Settings > Notes > Note language: the notes and the guided tours. Leave it on Same as ComfyUI and everything switches together, or set it on its own (English menus with Japanese notes, etc.).
Translating a note yourself
Any note in any of the 14 languages, without sending it anywhere. It needs the LC Vision pack (it uses the same vision model as the captioner).
One note: pick the language in its dropdown.
The whole workflow: search translate in the settings and press Translate all notes in this workflow. A progress pill shows how far it is, and one message at the end tells you what happened.

Things I made sure of:
Links and code stay exactly as written. A translation that breaks a link is thrown out and tried again.
Numbers are checked. If a number goes missing, it tries again and keeps the closest one.
A long note is split into pieces the model can handle, and put back together in order.
Save the workflow afterwards, and the translations ride along with it for whoever you share it with.
Will it fit my card? 💻
The translator sizes itself to your card, so it will not knock your image model out of memory:
24 GB: the full model, fast (about 9.4 GB while it works).
8 GB: a smaller setup (about 3.4 GB).
4 GB and less: it runs on the CPU instead (about 1 GB). It works, it is slow (a few minutes for a short note), and it asks first so you are not left staring at a frozen screen.
The saved Chinese, Japanese and Korean translations need none of this. They are already in the file.
中文 · 日本語 · 한국어
中文: 在 ComfyUI 设置中搜索 language。Comfy > Locale > Language 设为中文,提示文字就会变成中文。LC Settings > Notes > Note language 保持 Same as ComfyUI,笔记和引导教程也会一起切换。
LC Settings > Notes > Note language는 Same as ComfyUI로 두면 노트와 가이드 투어도 함께 바뀝니다. 한국어 번역은 워크플로에 이미 저장되어 있어서 모델을 내려받을 필요가 없습니다.
Summary:
Tooltips, notes and guided tours in my packs now come in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, saved in the files.
ComfyUI's language setting switches the tooltips. Note language (Same as ComfyUI) switches the notes and tours with it.
Any note can be translated into 14 languages on your own machine with LC Vision, one note or the whole workflow.
Node names and settings stay in English, so tutorials still match.
It sizes itself to your card, and it asks before it does anything slow.
If something reads wrong in your language, tell me in the comments. I would rather fix it than guess.
