Why am I not getting Spaghetti?

Why am I not getting Spaghetti?

Well, I really don't want Spaghetti? But the title was meant to be funny. I still see folks asking why their picture is not clear or with artifacts they don't want to see. In almost all of these cases, the trouble is with the prompts. Let me show an example. The picture you see above is the result of me using the following prompt. By the way, I intentionally wrote the prompt like this just to prove the point.

hyperrealistic spaghetti, 4k spaghetti, 8k spaghetti, intrinsicly detailed spaghetti, colorful spaghetti, red spaghetti, green spaghetti, yellow spaghetti, lots of spaghetti, i really want spaghetti, tasty spaghetti, yummy spaghetti

You see the problem? I was not getting a good Spaghetti because my prompt is mess of Spaghetti. It is true that earlier generations of AI models required long prompts with repeated words/phrases to emphasize what you want. But with SD 1.5 and more importantly SDXL checkpoints such prompts will only confuse the AI very much and you won't get the spaghetti you want.

Another problem is adding lots of modifiers thinking that all those of modifiers will make the checkpoint draw something spectacular. For example, using the prompts 4K and 8K are pointless, if a picture 8K then it will have a higher resolution than 4K. Even if you use just 8K or 4K or Ultra-HD they are all meaningless because you are already setting the dimension of the picture. I find that just the modifier "Realistic" is enough to get a realistic hi-quality output.

Let us reword that prompt succinct to the point and see what we get:

Realistic highly detailed colorful steamy spaghetti bowl, red, green, yellow

(Model: REV ANIMATED - V1.2.2-EOL, Base: SD 1,5)

(Model Starlight XL V3, Base: SDXL 1.0)
