Today
To this day 112 dynamic wildcards were released.
The intent behind those files was -with a simple prompt command- to give a lot of variations on a costume with a setting while staying faithful to the subject. I like to click on a button to generate a batch of 30 or 50 pictures and see different results!
The second goal is to have no need for loras in order to trigger the intended result. That does not mean you cannot use loras with my wildcards though, and you shouldn't restrict yourself.
I believe that YAML helped me achieving my goal.
Hidden facts
I'm spending hours writing those yaml files, launching batches of combinations on many checkpoints, checking the output to then remove a word or replace it inside the wildcard.
For example, I had to replace "olive" skin which sometimes was generating green skin on pony models. Or "ponytail" which replaced a woman by a pony or a furry if you did not add "hair" next to it. Lot of surprises with Pony models.
I'm not sure that everyone knows, specially for those who download the single file megapack, but there are things that you can customize in the "cof-basemodel" section (which match the corn-flakes-basemodel.yaml file).
You can adjust the body build you prefer, the hairstyles, change the age and gender and it will apply when calling the command "prompt-full" on all costume wildcards, after having restarted your web-ui server since the wildcards are loaded on launch.
But I think gender swap to man won't work in a lot of case because of the body build or the hairstyle which is forced within "cof-basemodel/ethnicity". Yes a hairstyle or a body build can trigger a different gender than what was asked. This is something that I keep in mind to work on...
Next
I have started to create wildcards about creatures and other subjects, and I'm ranked #5 as vehicles creator since I released two wildcards (car and spaceship); I'm like "wtf dude", this is really not a popular category amongst creators lol.
You probably guessed it, I'm releasing less costume wildcards because I'm running out of ideas which could interest me.
That's why I'm writing this article :
do you have any suggestions for new wildcards, something that you'd like to see ?
I have some conditions or guidelines though. What I like is giving lot of options for a subject.
Let's take an example with "poison ivy", on which I wouldn't do a wildcard because without this single costume she's not poison ivy anymore, and I fail to imagine other costumes for a poison ivy (yes I know I made a riding hood!).
One wildcard that I have but not released is the vampire one. Because I can't seem to trigger the fangs properly. Most checkpoints won't do it, I was disappointed when I tried it without any success on SD3. I tried face detailer with a lora but for now I'm not happy enough with the teeth to be willing to release the wildcard. Because a vampire without its fangs lack bite.
"I don't show my fangs to strangers"
"Wait, What? You're putting my wildcard with the trash? T_T "
Sometimes the checkpoints are just not trained to trigger what you want, so you need a lora.
Another example: a buddy asked me to do an executioner wildcard, and while batch testing it I was disappointed by the result. Instead of a medieval executioner I had some sort of a dark warrior from Assassin's Creed. Not what I wanted...
"Egg thief, you shall face the ultimate price. Cluck-cluck!!"
Again, another wildcard I'm reluctant to release is the drow. It's beautiful but it's really hard to have the right skin tone. It often end with a black skin or no dark grey/blue skin, or with the head wich has a different color than the body. Maybe I should put a skin color lora or drow lora as a file suggestion along with the wildcard...
Another thing I could do is to add weather and season on some wildcards. Moving and merging the locations in one separated file so it is easier to configure. These two ideas are good but I'm a little afraid of the work amount.
Reviews
Like DonMischo said in his own article :
"Crossreferencing for wildcards is not possible. So please consider uploading images which were generated with wildcards as post or reviews of the wildcard model. (not just for BoWildcards) ;)"
Thanks
Thank you arrssenne for giving me wildcards ideas, showcasing them and giving me so much support :)
Thank you daemona and linvanchene for your brilliant ideas about how to enhance the wildcards :)
Thank you bluelovers for having pushed me to open a github, and for having added the workflow actions I'm using on it (so useful!) :)
Thank you to Manuka, nuaion and RedBulk50 that I see using the wildcards and who support me :)
Thank you DonMischo, your wildcards have been an inspiration for me and that's what incited me to start. I learned a lot from your work on civitai :)
THANK YOU all of you who use my wildcards, THANK YOU to the people who sent me nice messages :)
