Paddle: Our new Payment Processor Enabling Paypal, Alipay and more!

Today, we’re excited to announce that Civitai has transitioned to a new payment provider, Paddle. This update is designed to enhance your experience on our platform by providing a smoother and more seamless payment process. Here’s everything you need to know about the change.

About Paddle

Paddle is a well-regarded payment provider that specializes in handling transactions for digital platforms like Civitai. Our partnership with Paddle is aimed at ensuring your payments are processed with greater efficiency and ease.

What’s Changing for You?

For most users, the payment process will remain almost exactly the same. However, there are a few key updates:

  • Zip/Postal Code Requirement: To enhance fraud prevention, Paddle will now require you to enter your zip or postal code when making a payment. This small addition will help keep your transactions secure.

  • New Payment Interface: When you check out, a new tab will open that directs you to the Checkout page on Civitai.green. This is where you’ll complete your payment.

  • Card Information: We'll be migrating everyones payment info early next week. once migrated you shouldn't need to reenter your card info in most cases. Until then you will need to enter your payment info.

  • New Payment Option:

    • PayPal

    • AliPay

    • Bancontact

    • iDEAL

  • Discontinued Payment Options:

    • WePay

    • Link

    • SEPA

    • Cashapp

  • For Current Subscribers:
    If you're a subscriber using any supported payment option (ACH, card, google pay, apple pay) there should be no interuption to your service. If you're using a discontinued payment option you'll be asked to update your payment method at the time of your renewal

Navigating the New Checkout Process

When purchasing buzz, signing up for a membership or managing an existing member ship, a new tab will open directing you to Civitai.green to complete your transaction.
