This article is based on my observations and may be incorrect, purely a figment of my imagination. I am not a native English speaker, so any reasoning may not be translated correctly.
So what is the article actually about?
It seems to me that you all noticed that when you click on the "Publish" button, the image is not published immediately. I usually have a delay of about 5 minutes. And if you go to the list of new images, it does not appear among the first, since the list contains images by publication date, and our image already has a publication date of 5 minutes. But if you open any other image at the top of new publications, there will be a date a couple of seconds ago.

And besides, the image does not appear in your profile right away either. As I understand it, the site needs time to upload the image for publication.
What I discovered for myself is the "Schedule Publish" button.

In this case, you set the publication time.

At the same time, by your publication date, the site will have already prepared your image for uploading. You will even see your image in your profile. There will be a special label showing that there is a timer on this image.

By the time the publication time comes, the site will publish your image immediately and it will be at the top of new publications and as many people as possible will see it.
What else can this be useful for. When publishing some images, the site may write that the image will not be published until it is checked by a moderator (I had this problem when I published images with weapons). And then you will lose a lot of time while the moderator checks your image. And this way you can wait until the moderator checks your image and after that you will have a publication (approximately 1-2 hours are required for the moderator to check the image, depending on the time of day).
Please don't throw tomatoes at me if I wrote nonsense or if everyone already knows about it. Thank you for your attention.
