Another quick article to write out some certain thoughts again and what's to come, plus some updates on what I've worked on and been working on in case you're curious.
What happened since my last article?
Shortly after finishing the article, I published Toothless and 13 more LoRAs in 15 days.
Quite a lot of experimentation that I've been doing especially with the Warcraft ones where I was using screenshots to see if I can get a decent quality LoRA.
The results: Ehh.. I guess somewhat?
Why: 70%-ish quality because WoW is such an old game so the graphics are a bit lacking. But, I guess I can conclude that training with screenshots can work but don't expect too much.
I did the same for the recent raptor one, but because the quality of the models I can get is much higher so the results really shows as well.
In between as well, I was just doing some random things as well including some MLP models to see what I can achieve out of dragons (basically my Allura model)
I actually have quite a few failed LoRAs such as this one:
Why it failed: Quality of pictures aren't up to standard I guess. Generations were giving me even more random fails than usual which is why I unpublished it. Might come back to this character again soon.
I guess I'm starting to expand a little bit out of dragons too so I'm not capped by what I can create.
BUT... it will still be my main focus for sure. I think that's why most of you are following me for anyway XD
How to 'Tip' me WITHOUT Tipping Buzz! (quick hack omg i cant believe it)
With the recent change of the Blue Buzz and Yellow Buzz, we can only generate blue buzz for free while yellow buzz becomes a more premium currency.
Personally speaking, I appreciate all tips if you can afford to give some while continuing to use the website to generate whatever you want.
BUT... if you are struggling with buzz, you don't need to tip!
However, you can do one thing to 'tip' me without tipping me. Here's how:
This advice is good for supporting ANY LoRA creators, not only me. You can click the 'add post' button there and upload your generations as per normal like how you would create a post.
The images and posts will still upload to your profile, and it's the same as creating a post by yourself. Plus, you'll get the buzz bonus for first post of the day as well.
If you do so, the LoRA creator will get a minimum of 50 buzz plus multipliers depending on their membership. I'm currently on bronze, so that's a minimum of 75 buzz if you do this.
This way, you can 'tip' me without tipping me π
Bonus tip: I usually like all photos that appear in the gallery feed as well. Plus this gives me an alert so I know you posted, so you will definitely get some extra buzz!
Update Schedule Going Forward
Going forward, I think I might slow down on my creation as I've been spending a bit too much time on this website that I need to cut back a bit (LOL.... I know)
Don't worry, nothing serious has happened in my life and I'm actually doing okay if you're wondering!
So going forward, I'll aim for at least 3 LoRAs a week, up to 5 LoRAs maximum if I have more time.
In terms of what I'll create, the priority is as follows:
Dragons > Scalies > MLP stuff > General Furry stuff
Commissions?
I think I talked about this in the last post as well, and it is something that is 'official' yet. I have created a few LoRAs based on people who tipped me and requested for something. There's a few that I've yet to get to due to my requirements not being met or I haven't put in enough time yet.
One of which is actually Alduin which also happen to be one of my most popular models too (didn't know demand for the world eater was so strong lol)
But in any case, I think I might open commissions from case to case basis so feel free to PM me if you have a request. But take note of the requirements:
My requirements:
Needs to have enough materials that I can find (I usually aim 30-50 pictures minimum to train on)
Decent training material meaning: Usually full body shots of the character is preferred. Best if there are different angles as well. Can also include zoomed in (focus on face) for some pictures.
Size wise, I don't think I'm too particular about it but if everything I can find is 200 x 200 or very blurry then it's a no go.
Has to follow CivitAI site rules (duh)
For costs:
I've not fixed anything yet, except that I'm looking at around 3k to 5k buzz range depending on the amount of work that I need to put in.
Of course, I have a quality assurance to make sure it meets both our standards or I'll refund the buzz to you in full.
Even if you don't have the buzz for commissions, I still look at requests but I'll put them on the list to create some day. For commissions, they'll always have the top priority for me to create. I still look at all your requests, so don't worry π
My End Goal.. sorta?
I guess while having fun making the LoRAs, I guess I'm aiming to actually start making money through CivitAI too. I won't say it will be a lot of money considering $10 is 10k buzz, but I guess it's still a goal to work towards to.
Not a priority though but if it happens then it happens. The recent buzz change was actually to weed out bots, but from what I'm learning it is also for CivitAI to start building that program to reward creators as soon as possible.
The 'beta' program is already ongoing, so I'm waiting for the full roll out before anything happens. If there's a chance I can continue to do what I do while creating LoRAs that you love, and also get an additional income on that then I would say it's a win-win for both of us!
Of course like I said, my priority is to have fun creating LoRAs for dragon lovers because the money earned isn't a lot at least for me. I personally have personal investments that make me way more money daily anyway so it's not a money issue for me.
To End Things off...
I would like to thank you if you read until the end, and also thank you for 400 followers so far! Next milestone would probably be the 500 follower mark!
I'll probably be writing more of my thoughts every once in awhile when I have things I want to talk about like this.
I guess I'll catch you around some time soon!PS. Just a fun fact, the above dragon is my WoF OC that is a Nightwing and Icewing hybrid. I use this OC when I'm using chatbots for WoF characters, and there's a very interesting one that I'm having now... let's leave it at that π
