This is only useful for finding inspiration for spaceship sprites that must be manually refined, as the output is not going to match in-game quality. This model can only be used for modding the video game it was based off of.

For the capital ship version: Images for this model were generated using Flux Dev Q8 GGUF. Make sure images are ratios of 1024x1024 for best results. If you're using ComfyUI, you can just drag the image into your workspace and see all the relevant nodes. Unlike the small ship model, the capital ship version does not really understand fuel tanks or cargo containers.

Otherwise, descriptions can remain mostly the same. For quick variety, edit the sections that refer to color and shape. Img2img with a sketch is necessary to create better shapes.

Output will not be sufficient for out-of-the box sprites. Reduce output to 25% using Nearest Neighbor, Lanczos3, or (better) a K-Means Centroid algorithm to produce a sprite that can be manually edited or drawn over for decent results. Mirror the results of decent outputs so lighting is more consistent across the sprite.

Weapon mounts generated by the model will look okay but will not match the actual sprites. Kitbash mounts where needed and be sure to manually texture the surrounding areas.
