[IL] Mechanized Earth Guard Attack System, eXtra Large Robot – Megas XLR

A prototype alien mech stolen by the human resistance in 3037 and sent back a few years in time to turn the tide of the war against the alien invaders, only to wind up in a New Jersey junkyard in 2004 due to damage during the retreat through time. There it is found by overweight slacker Harold "Coop" Cooplowski, who proceeds to repair and modify it to suit his own tastes and available materials. He completes the project just in time for the resistance's intended pilot and invading aliens on her tail to show up.

Made with 36 images including 17 screencaps, 5 official art, an official comic pic, 2 lineart I think were official art, some fan made 3D models, and assorted fanart. I was very surprised when the first epoch had a vague idea of what it looked like. It needed more, but the fact that it even recognizable from the thumbnail was a huge shock. Unfortunately LoRA struggles to understand that the certain tags are part of the mech . Unless someone really wants it I'm probably going to skip PDXL cross training (at least until I can get some good shots of the head to add to the data) due to the issue with the head.

I was only planning to do only one entirely new LoRA in January, then I saw the last episode of this wonderful series aired January 15 2005, and SlimeKnight’s creations demonstrating that Illustrious is pretty good at mechs. Was already on my list of things I’d like to try once I finished converting stuff, but no reason I can’t push it up and have a second LoRA for a major anniversary this month.
