Once Upon a Time SPACE

Once Upon a Time: Space (1982) (Update: IL and Pony Versions now available)

This is a science fiction cartoon which was produced by French studio (Procidis) and is the
second adaptation in it's franchise. French title: 'Il était une fois… l'Espace'
They had a lot of 'Once Upon a Time' titles, where the characters of the previous shows would reprise their roles and be put in different situations. The shows usually had an educational flair about them, where you learn about things like space, history or human anatomy.

Once Upon a Time: Space follows young astronauts Pierrot and Psi and their friends, in the discovery of new planets and civilisations, and the struggle between the main galactic powers. Its a pretty epic story! I re-watched it recently and fell in love with the show all over again!

Seriously, I went a long time thinking I dreamt this show lol. That it wasn't real. I was probably too young to remember it fully. Then by chance someone mentioned it to me recently and all the memories came flowing back. Even though Space was on TV a lot, we used to get the human anatomy and history ones in primary school in Europe. Their main learned mascot and wizard-like character Maestro used to be the one telling you all about what's what!

The Lora itself is made to represent the style of the show more than anything, but most of the main important characters can also be generated like Psi and Pierrot, Metro the robot, Maestro,
most of the galactic federation Omega as generic characters, and the bad guys
from constellation Cassiopeia with the big red noses and pointy ears.
