Dress your character in clothing to look like a Japanese monk. Based on a combination of real life photos, anime, and video game images.
UPDATE - 31 January 2025 - Added Illustrious version
Recommended strength: 0.8 - 1.0
Contains the following triggers:
ajirogasa hat - this is the conical straw hat worn by monks on pilgrimage
shakujo staff - long staff with metal rings looped through the headpiece. Makes a distinctive jingling sound when shaken
monk robes - a blending of about forty different images of monk robes, so the exact style you'll get on any given generation is a bit random
prayer beads necklace - large necklace made up of spherical beads
sandals
hand on hat - reinforces that you want the character to place one hand on the brim of the hat, as though adjusting it
concealed eyes - paints the top half of the face in shadow so that only the nose and mouth can be seen. Common depiction in anime and manga when the monk's identity is a mystery
The LoRA is heavily influenced by the other styles in your generation, especially at low weight. This can produce some unintentionally neat effects, like Bowser having horns on his hat. When you get to about 0.8 or lower then some articles of clothing may start to be overriden by the character's normal clothing. For example, Princess Peach may start wearing a dress or crown instead of the monk attire.
