🎭 Thom Merrilin - The Gleeman
🟥🟦🟨 Patchwork Cloak • Medieval Layers • Throwing Knives • Traveling Performer
This ZImage model is my latest and most accurate Thom Merrilin model. Previous versions remain available but those were my learning phase of creating character loras.
It represents Thom as a middle-aged gleeman (mid to late 50s) at the height of his skill — not elderly, not exaggerated, and not a caricature.
This model reliably produces:
White hair with subtle steel-gray streaks, worn loose to the shoulders
A thick drooping mustache that hangs naturally downward (not curled or styled)
A true gleeman’s patchwork cloak made from many small cloth patches with visible stitching
Medieval clothing only (no modern jackets or jeans)
Throwing knives visible on his belt, reinforcing his dangerous side
🧩 Core Trigger Words (Copy & Paste)
ThomMerrilin a middle-aged gleeman, white hair with subtle steel-gray streaks worn loose to his shoulders and a thick drooping mustache that hangs naturally downward, not curled or styled. He wears a gleeman’s patchwork cloak made from many small cloth patches sewn together with visible stitching and medieval clothing with throwing knives on his belt
Use this block as the identity anchor in every prompt, while removing things that would not be important for the shot angle or scene. Such as removing the knives on his belt if its an upper body scene.
🎶 Instrument Triggers
Flute (travel / quiet scenes)
Use one:
playing a wooden flute
holding a simple wooden flute
Best for roads, forests, and solitary performances. But use anywhere, Thom played a portable harp and a flute in the books.
Harp (inn / formal scenes)
Use one:
playing a small wooden harp
holding a small medieval harp
small harp performance in an inn
Best for taverns, inns, and storyteller gatherings. He carried a small portable harp as he was a traveling gleeman.
Tip: Do not combine flute and harp in the same image.
📸 Showcase & Example Prompts
Reference the images and prompts in the showcase to see how the triggers effect the outcome. You can see by the ZImage default samples how much it defaults to a younger man if you don't include all the prompting, even though there were no young looking dataset images. ZImage stuff I guess.
🎨 Cloak Color Palette Guidance

🧠 Tips for Best Results
If the mustache curls, repeat: drooping mustache, not curled near the end
If clothing modernizes, reinforce: medieval clothing and keep the negative prompt
If knives disappear, add: throwing knives clearly visible on his belt

Inspiration from classic book cover art (such as Darrell K. Sweet and Michael Whelan)
Generic medieval visual language
The training dataset was generated entirely using AI image tools, guided by natural language prompts referencing Thom Merrilin, a fictional character from a fantasy novel.
