Jeffrey Catherine Jones (1944–2011) was an American artist legendary for her work in fantasy, science fiction, and fine art.
In the 1970s, she became a leading cover artist for over 150 books and co-founded "The Studio" with Bernie Wrightson, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Michael Kaluta. Famed for a painterly, atmospheric style, her work was highly praised by Frank Frazetta for its emotional depth and romanticism.
After transitioning in the late 1990s, she continued to influence generations of artists. A World Fantasy Award winner and Spectrum Grand Master, she remains one of the most respected figures in modern illustrative history.
