Kyūta | The Boy and the Beast (Pony)

Kyūta, formerly know as Ren in the human world, is the main character of the movie "The Boy and the Beast".

A young boy who runs away from home and ends up accidentally going to the beast world. He meets a beast named Kumatetsu, who is a potential candidate to become lord of the beast world. Kumatetsu ends up making Ren his apprentice and later names him Kyuta.

When he becomes Kumatetsu's first disciple he discovers his analysis skills when mimicking Kumatetsu's footwork and realizes he is not actually seeing him only hearing him because he knows Kumatetsu's moves that good and starts off with the "adorable" part and later fulfills the former after learning his analysis skills. As a human who grew up in Jūtengai. This causes an identity crisis once he realizes it in the movie's second arc. When Kumatetsu takes the 9-year-old Kyuta to live with him, the house is a mess and Kumatetsu can only cook rice mixed with raw eggs. Kyuta soon assumes responsibility for all the cooking, cleaning and laundry for the following eight years. Kyūta was hot-blooded as a kid being brash and very temperamental. Especially after living with Kumatetsu for a while as he picks up his habits and along with being filled with teenage angst so it's not a surprise that he's this hot-tempered. Kyuta became a brash and a angsty teen who is quite bitter about the world, but he is still able to show acts of kindness and generosity such as when he met Kaede. He also cares for Kumatetsu and his other friends in Jutengai. Even at the start Kyuta/Ren was a stubborn, hot-headed loner with a chip on his shoulder, just like Kumatetsu. He starts off as a weak kid who can barely hold a sword to save his life. but over eight years he has grown into an incredibly strong person. His hidden dark power that he experiences as a young child fueled all of his negativity and hatred to the world ever since his mother died. This is played straight when Kumatetsu is killed by Ichirohiko. As a teenager, he can take on and deliver a Curb-Stomp Battle to three delinquents.
