About the subject:

Dutch allround speed skater (born 28 April 1999) who was voted Most Beautiful Female Athlete in the Netherlands in 2020 (according to FHM magazine). In 2024, she posed nude for the December issue of the Dutch edition of Playboy; the issue sold out within a week and needed to be reprinted (a first for the magazine).

Born in Borne, Overijssel, Netherlands, she started skating when she was just nine years old, progressing to winning the silver medal at the 2017 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Warsaw. She then became a junior world champion at the 2018 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Utah, winning the 1000 m, 1500m and 3000m events and setting world junior records for those distances.

She was previously a member of Team LottoNL-Jumbo, before joining her current team (Team IKO) in 2022. In 2023, her team was disqualified from the team pursuit at the World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships when her ankle was exposed during the race, which was deemed to be against the rules.

A popular presence online, she's amassed more than 300,000 followers on her Instagram account to date.
