Taiyo Matsumoto

Taiyo Matsumoto, born on October 25, 1967, in Tokyo, Japan, is a celebrated manga artist known for his distinctive and unconventional style. His works often blend surrealism, introspection, and European influences, setting him apart from traditional manga aesthetics. Matsumoto's notable creations include Tekkonkinkreet (also adapted into an anime film), Ping Pong, Sunny, and Gogo Monster. His storytelling explores themes of human emotion, urban life, and the complexities of relationships.

Matsumoto's art is inspired by creators like Moebius and Akira, and his unique approach has earned him critical acclaim and a devoted following.
