Alfonso Azpiri was one of the great figures of Spanish comics, especially known for his unmistakable style and his ability to blend eroticism, humor, and science fiction. His most iconic work is "Lorna", a voluptuous and light-hearted space heroine who stars in a series of adventures full of action, sensuality, and satire. With “Lorna,” Azpiri cemented his fame in the world of erotic comics, standing out for his clean, detailed, and colorful linework, as well as his boundless imagination for creating fantastic worlds and extravagant creatures.

Another of his best-known creations is "Mot", a youth-oriented series featuring a lovable monster and his friend Leo. This work, aimed at a broader audience, showcased Azpiri’s versatility as a storyteller and his talent for connecting with different generations. “Mot” even made the leap to television with an animated series in the 1990s.

In addition to his comic book work, Azpiri played a crucial role in the history of Spanish video games. During the 1980s, he illustrated numerous covers for titles from the so-called “golden age of Spanish software,” becoming a key figure in the pop culture of the time. Games like Abu Simbel Profanation, Army Moves, and Camelot Warriors featured his art on their covers—often more spectacular than the games themselves.
