Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor. She is best known for her career as a Hollywood actress during the Golden Age of cinema in the 1930s and 1940s. Lamarr appeared in numerous films, including "Algiers" (1938), "Boom Town" (1940), and "Samson and Delilah" (1949), among others. She was often celebrated for her beauty and acting talent.

In addition to her acting career, Hedy Lamarr was also an inventor. During World War II, she and composer George Antheil developed a frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology for use in secure military communications. This invention, known as "frequency hopping," laid the foundation for modern wireless communication and has been instrumental in the development of technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
