Horus Lupercal was the most favored of the Emperor of Mankind’s twenty Primarchs and the appointed Warmaster of the Great Crusade. Gene-forged from the Emperor's own genetic essence, Horus was a charismatic and brilliant leader, beloved by his fellow Primarchs and adored by the Legiones Astartes under his command. His Legion, originally the Luna Wolves, was renamed the Sons of Horus in honor of his ascension as Warmaster. Horus embodied the Emperor's vision of unity and conquest, carrying the banner of the Imperium across the stars with unmatched fervor, tactical genius, and personal charm.

Yet, his loyalty would become his undoing. Poisoned by pride, manipulated by the Chaos Gods, and seduced by promises of power, Horus turned against the Emperor, leading half the Imperium's forces into rebellion in what would become known as the Horus Heresy. The Warmaster's betrayal plunged the galaxy into civil war on an unimaginable scale. Once the Emperor’s brightest son, Horus was transformed into the arch-traitor and avatar of Chaos Undivided. His fall culminated in a cataclysmic duel with the Emperor aboard his flagship, the Vengeful Spirit, during the Siege of Terra, where he was ultimately slain by his father. Horus's legacy, however, left the Imperium scarred forever, and his name became synonymous with treachery, hubris, and damnation.
