Afraid of having to go on stage with his bumbling father for a school Father’s Day event, Jimmy Neutron alters his dad’s brain to make him cooler (despite already being on notice that playing with his parent’s minds is a terrible idea as well as something morally reprehensible AND that trying to cheat at school functions is a bad thing from previous episodes). This, as with most of Jimmy’s inventions, backfires horribly as the “cool” Hugh becomes increasingly distant from his son. (Jimmy is one of the few characters in cartoon history to actually get nicer in a show’s later seasons instead of more of a jerk, his attempt to attack a random theme part attendant in season 3’s The Incredible Shrinking Town aside)
