Sol - Goddess of the Sun - Smite

Sol and her brother emerged into the world as radiant, magnificent beings, bathed in resplendent glory. Their father, consumed by adoration, bestowed upon them names drawn from the celestial realms—Mani, named for the moon, exuded contemplation, obedience, and serenity, while Sol, bearing the sun's name, embraced willfulness, spirit, and passion. Odin and his divine brethren, however, found their father's pride to be excessive.

In response to this paternal hubris, Mani and Sol were met with punishment. Cast into the heavens, they were tasked with guiding the chariots that pulled the sun and the moon, relentlessly pursued by the ravenous sons of Fenrir. These insatiable wolves, driven by a primal hunger, pursued their celestial quarry with unwavering determination.

Resigned to his fate, Mani guided his celestial steeds through the nocturnal expanse, forever outpacing his relentless pursuer. In stark contrast, Sol refused to accept her destiny, nursing her fury towards the Gods. With brazen defiance, she taunted and challenged the wolf Skoll, streaking across the heavens as she blazed her fiery path, unleashing her spite upon the sole opponent she could reach, in a display of fiery vengeance.
