Izanami birthed the Fire God, whose searing touch led to her demise. Izanagi, her creator, sought her in Yomi, the realm of death. He found her and begged her to return. She couldn't, having eaten Yomi's fruit. She agreed to appeal to Yomi's Gods, warning him not to look. He did, seeing her as a decaying corpse. Horrified, he fled, sealing the cave with a boulder. Izanami swore vengeance, taking one thousand souls daily.

Now, the war has broken the seal, freeing Izanami, who emerges, lifeless yet vengeful. One thousand souls will not suffice.
