Jon Foster is an American illustrator, painter, and sculptor known for his evocative, often dark-toned artwork in fantasy and science fiction. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (1989), he’s created covers for comic books (DC Comics, Dark Horse), novels (Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn, Timothy Zahn’s Dragonback series), and role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. His oil paintings are digitally enhanced, blending traditional technique with modern effects. Foster has earned multiple awards from Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art and teaches at The Illustration Academy.
