His armored exoskeleton is reinforced with organic metal, making him almost invulnerable, and the red veins are bio-electrical circuits for powerful discharges. The spikes on his body and his tail are also dangerous weapons, capable of piercing armor and releasing a paralyzing toxin. Unlike others, Shi'lar'ka possesses a keen tactical intellect and can command entire xenomorph swarms. He is the "Royal Xenomorph" of his Tyranid race, unifying them under his control through potent pheromones. Shi'lar'ka strives for absolute domination and the perfection of his race, eradicating other life forms. His name, Thunderclap, reflects the electrical attacks accompanying his appearance. He is a harbinger of a new era for xenomorphs, where they will become the ruling force in the universe.
