Shou Tajima is a renowned Japanese manga artist and anime character designer from Saitama Prefecture. Best known for his dark, stylish artwork, Tajima created the influential manga Multiple Personality Detective Psycho (1997) and illustrated Madara (1987). His distinctive character designs extend beyond manga to anime productions including Otogi Zoshi and the iconic animated sequence in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill depicting O-Ren Ishii's origin story. He has also contributed to the Final Fantasy VII universe, designing characters for The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story novel, with his artwork later featured in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Tajima's bold linework and atmospheric style have made him a significant figure in contemporary manga and anime aesthetics.
