Yūji Iwahara is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator known for his dynamic character designs and work across various sci-fi, horror, and action genres. Before becoming a mangaka, he worked as a graphic artist for video games like Mega Bomberman.He is best known for creating the critically acclaimed survival horror manga King of Thorn, which was adapted into an anime film. Iwahara's later major work, the near-future sci-fi series Dimension W, which follows a collector hunting illegal energy devices, also received a popular anime adaptation. Additionally, he served as the Original Character Designer for the acclaimed anime series $Darker than Black$. Iwahara's detailed style, characterized by sleek designs and powerful compositions, has established him as a significant figure in modern Japanese genre fiction.
