Negative embedding intended to reduce instances of minors in generations.
The basics:
What is an embedding? An embedding is a text-based prompt that Stable Diffusion can understand integrated into either the positive and/or negative prompt of the image generator to ensure what comes out on the other end follows a specific set of criteria.
In the case of Civitai Safe Helper (Minor), this means that the image generated is of an adult.
How it works with the on-site generator: Whenever a prompt featuring a mature theme or keyword is detected, the embedding is applied.
Once the embedding is applied, it prevents the model from generating children, or pushes the model to do that as much as possible within the current parameters of the technology.
Purpose: The embedding serves as an additional safeguard/safety mechanism against CSAM generation.
This embedding also helps prevent users from accidentally generating CSAM or NSFW imagery of minors when using more innocuous prompts
Why does this page exist? While the embedding isn’t something directly visible from the generator and most users won’t notice it is there, We've published the embedding on the platform so that individuals users have the opportunity to incorporate it into their own generation either locally or on other platforms
