Ain't Another Head Swap - Workflow Reviews
⚠️ Warning for users trying this workflow
I spent several hours trying to make this workflow run, but it never worked on a clean and properly set up ComfyUI environment.
I want to clearly document what I tried, so others don’t waste the same amount of time.
What I did
Fresh ComfyUI install (latest version)
Proper CUDA / PyTorch setup
Installed Visual C++ Redistributables (x64)
Installed all required custom nodes via ComfyUI-Manager
Restarted ComfyUI multiple times
Verified models and LoRA paths
Rebuilt the workflow from scratch
Removed optional nodes (ControlNet, extras, etc.)
What happened
ComfyUI consistently fails with:
“Cannot execute because a node is missing the class_type property”
The reported Node ID (e.g. #289) does not exist on the canvas
The error persists even after removing visible problematic nodes
Copying nodes to a new canvas does NOT fix it
Conclusion
This workflow JSON appears to be corrupted or generated with an incompatible / deprecated node schema.
It is not an environment issue and not a user setup mistake.
Recommendation
Please do NOT try this workflow unless a fixed JSON is provided
The author should re-export the workflow from a clean ComfyUI instance
At minimum, the workflow should be marked as broken / outdated
I am posting this to prevent others from losing hours debugging something that cannot be fixed on the user side.
