Jagged Brushwork XL is a stylistically consistent XL‑merge that behaves more like a trained model than a fusion. Its defining trait is a jagged, fractured brushstroke texture that appears across every subject and style. Instead of mimicking the requested aesthetic, it translates it through its own painterly‑cinematic identity.

Core characteristics

  • Jagged painterly edges — outlines and shapes break into micro‑strokes, never perfectly smooth.

  • Cinematic lighting — soft directional light, deep shadows, atmospheric glow, even in styles that should be flat (anime, comic).

  • Organic texture — skin, feathers, hair, metal, petals, scales… everything gains a tactile, painterly grain.

  • Cross‑style consistency — anime, comic, realism, fantasy, animals, objects: the signature stays intact.

  • Mood‑driven rendering — images feel atmospheric, dramatic, and slightly dark by default.

This is not a “style copier.” It’s a style interpreter.

⚙️ How to Use Jagged Brushwork XL

The model performs best when you let it breathe: low CFG, high steps, and samplers that preserve texture.

Recommended settings

  • Sampler: SIMPLE

  • Schedulers:

    • DPM++ 2M SDE

    • DPM++ 3M SDE

  • CFG: low (4–6)

  • Steps: high (35–45)

These settings allow the model to fully develop its painterly grain and cinematic lighting without over‑constraining it.

Prompting behavior

Jagged Brushwork XL responds exceptionally well to:

  • close‑ups (faces, animals, objects)

  • soft or cold side lighting

  • mist, haze, atmospheric blur

  • natural textures (fur, feathers, hair, petals, scales)

  • dark fantasy or nocturnal moods

  • warm sunset or cold moonlight palettes

It also handles anime and comic surprisingly well, but always with its painterly twist.
