Velvet worms (Phylum Onychophora) are relatives of arthropods and tardigrades that look like dry slugs with legs, really weird catterpilers, unarmored centipedes, or elongated macroscopic tardigrades. Despite the slug comparisons and "worm" in their name, their exteriors aren't slimy.

They hunt arthropods by shooting sticky goo / natural goo out of their first set of leg-like appendages at prey to immobilize it, then drill into it with their rostrum to slurp out the insides like many other predatory arthropods.

In real life they're only a few inches long and restricted to the tropics, but in fantasy they could be as large as you want!

IL_v1: First version for Illustrious. Tends to give large eyes to the critters because the artwork of them usually does despite the photographs. Doesn't seem to have too much style impact unless you add "macro photography" or similar to the prompt.

Trigger is "velvet worm"

Tried to include their slime shooting, but it didn't seem to stick. Trigger for that was supposed to be "shooting slime" in case anyone wants to try.
