Midnight Fairytale

Dark whimsy, gothic beauty, haunted storybook characters, and strange little monsters from the fairytale that starts after midnight

Trigger keyword: MNFairyDaal

Step into a darker storybook world. Midnight Fairytale is a style LoRA for creating gothic, whimsical fantasy images with a moody painterly look. It blends dark fairytale atmosphere, anime-inspired character design, elegant fantasy portraiture, creature-core weirdness, and rich storybook surrealism. Expect haunted princesses, dangerous elves, mischievous monsters, glowing forests, velvet shadows, strange companions, and characters that feel beautiful, eerie, magical, and just a little bit dangerous.

How to Use
Recommended strength range: 0.5 to 1.5

A strength of 1.0 gives good strong adherence for most uses, though results will vary depending on the base model, prompt, sampler, and overall workflow. I found more with Anima and less with Illustrious to work best. 1 worked well for Flux and ZIT.

Weight Guidance

0.5 to 0.8
Adds a touch of the Midnight Fairytale mood while preserving more of the base model’s natural look. Good for lighter influence, cleaner portraits, and more flexible compositions.

1.0
The recommended starting point. This usually gives strong style adherence while still allowing prompt control.

1.2 to 1.5
Pushes harder into the LoRA’s darker visual language. Expect more shadow, richer blues, purples, blacks, gothic atmosphere, stronger fantasy styling, and a more intense storybook mood.

Style Notes

Midnight Fairytale works especially well for:

  • Gothic fantasy portraits

  • Dark whimsical characters

  • Haunted princesses and dangerous elves

  • Cute but creepy creatures

  • Witches, fairies, goblins, demons, and masked figures

  • Painterly anime fantasy art

  • Magical forests, moonlit ruins, old castles, strange gardens, and surreal storybook scenes

  • Beautiful but unsettling character designs

The style tends toward dark whimsy, moody fantasy illustration, gothic storybook atmosphere, and elegant creature-filled fairytale worlds.

Example Prompt
