Backstory

Rixie Quickfang is a mousefolk saboteur, gang-runner, and self-appointed protector of the forgotten corners beneath the city. Petite even by mousefolk standards, she cuts a striking figure with her mismatched glowing eyes, ragged fur, and impossibly long, tangled hair woven into grime-stained braids. Her clothing is a patchwork of scavenged fabrics, utility straps, tail wraps, and bits of armor collected from a hundred close calls. She moves with the nervous energy of a street rat and the confidence of a queen, always seeming to know three escape routes, four hiding places, and exactly which support beam would bring a building crashing down. A grin full of sharp little fangs is usually the last warning she gives before someone's plans fall apart.

Among the tunnels, markets, and forgotten infrastructure beneath the city, Rixie has built a reputation somewhere between folk hero, criminal, and urban legend. She leads through audacity rather than authority, earning loyalty from runaways, scavengers, and other undercity misfits who know she'll fight harder for them than anyone else will. Clever, resourceful, and gloriously reckless, she specializes in turning stronger enemies against themselves through sabotage, misdirection, and chaos. Her current obsession is dismantling a rat gang responsible for a string of kidnappings, a mission she pursues with equal parts righteous fury and mischievous delight. To her allies, Rixie is a fiercely protective leader who refuses to abandon her own. To her enemies, she's a nightmare lurking in the walls: a flash of glowing eyes, a mocking laugh in the dark, and the sinking realization that everything important is about to explode.
