Apache 2.0t📸 Any to Real – ComfyUI Workflow
Created by Me – a filmmaker & AI workflow designer. This tool transforms any image (sketch, animation, concept art, or even a low‑quality photo) into a hyper‑realistic photograph using Qwen‑Image‑Edit with specialised LoRAs. I’m sharing it on Civitai for creators who want instant, high‑quality photorealistic conversions.
🧩 Overview
This workflow takes a single input image and applies a realism LoRA (combined with a detail‑control strength slider) to convert it into a photorealistic version while preserving the original composition, lighting, and context. It supports turbo mode (4 steps) for speed or full‑quality mode (20 steps) for maximum detail. The result is saved alongside a before‑after comparison for easy evaluation.
1️⃣ Required Models & Prerequisites
Make sure these files are placed in your ComfyUI models/ folders:
FolderRequired Filesdiffusion_models/qwen_image_edit_2511_bf16.safetensors (or fp8 version)loras/Qwen-Image-Edit-2511-Lightning-4steps-V1.0-bf16.safetensorsaldniki_qwen_reality_transform_v01.safetensors (realism LoRA Qwen Edit Reality Transform By Aldniki - v1.0 | Qwen LoRA | Civitai)text_encoders/qwen_2.5_vl_7b_fp8_scaled.safetensorsvae/qwen_image_vae.safetensors
⚠️ VRAM: ~8–12 GB recommended – the workflow uses Qwen with LoRA and optional turbo mode.
3️⃣ How It Works (Automatic Realism Conversion)
Load your image – any style (anime, digital art, low‑res photo, etc.).
The workflow feeds it through a realism LoRA (
aldniki_qwen_reality_transform_v01) that adjusts textures, lighting, and details to mimic a real photograph.A detail strength slider lets you control how strong the realism effect is (negative values soften, positive values enhance sharpness and texture).
You can toggle turbo mode – 4 steps (fast) vs. 20 steps (higher quality).
The output is saved with a
Qw_A2R_prefix, and an ImageCompare node shows the original vs. result side‑by‑side.
6️⃣ Advanced Settings (Optional)
Detail Strength (
-1.5 to +1.5) – lower values keep the image closer to the original, higher values push realism and texture. Default is1.5.Enable Turbo Mode – switches between 4‑step (Lightning) and 20‑step (standard) sampling.
Enable Same Size – automatically resizes the output to match the input image’s resolution (otherwise uses your default latent size).
Custom Prompt – you can add a descriptive prompt (e.g., “ruined castle over a snowy mountain”) to guide the realism style. The workflow already includes a strong default prompt for photorealistic photography.
Seed – set a fixed seed for reproducible results.
📦 Final Output
After running, you’ll get:
A photorealistic version of your input image saved as
Qw_A2R_*.png(or your custom prefix).A split‑screen comparison (original vs. result) displayed in the UI for quick inspection.
Why I built this: In filmmaking and concept art, I often need to visualise how a drawn scene or stylised character would look in real life. This workflow bridges that gap instantly – perfect for mood boards, pre‑production, or even final shots when you want a realistic texture. I hope it helps you bring your ideas to life – happy creating! 🎨✨
