While Dropout Idol Fruit Tart follows the struggles of underdog idols trying to make it in show business, the series is uniquely celebrated for its deep, eccentric fetishistic undertones, with every character harboring their own intense obsessions. Hemo was not an original member of Fruit Tart; rather, her passionate devotion to Ino Sakura drove her to transfer talent agencies specifically to join the group. Her absolute obsession is Ino herself. From covertly stalking Ino from the shadows to being utterly overwhelmed with ecstatic bliss whenever Ino hugs her, her dedication knows no bounds. While she occasionally slips into unhinged protective mode against anyone threatening Ino, she remains a quiet, well-mannered, and level-headed girl whenever Ino is not involved—making her another memorable victim whose latent tendencies were fully unlocked by Ino's natural charms.

Her family name originates from Midori-cho in Koganei City (a peaceful residential neighborhood located between Musashi-Koganei and Higashi-Koganei Stations), while "Hemo" is derived from the syllable "He" in the traditional Japanese Iroha poem.
