Eva longoria: Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, the daughter of Enrique Longoria and Eva Mireles. He is of Mexican and Spanish descent (specifically from Asturias,2​3​4​ where his last name comes from). She was raised Catholic, American-style.5 She did not speak Spanish growing up and did not learn the language until 2009.6 Longoria is the youngest of four daughters, her sisters being Elizabeth Judina, Emily Jeannette, and Esmeralda Josephina.7 Longoria originally wanted to be a runway model and sent photos of her to a modeling agency, but she was rejected due to her short stature. Longoria attended Marvin P. Baker Middle School and later Roy Miller High School, where she later received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. During this time, she won the title of Miss Corpus Christi in 1998. After finishing college, a talent show brought her to Los Angeles, California. Soon after, she was discovered and signed a contract with a theatrical agent.
