# 🦌 State Commander Pro — v2.2.0

A generation time machine for Stable Diffusion WebUI (Forge / Auto1111).

You just made a great image. Twenty generations later, you can't remember what settings produced it. State Commander fixes that: one click captures your entire generation state — prompt, negative, seed, sampler, model, hires fix, even ControlNet settings — as a snapshot card with a thumbnail. One click brings it all back.

It lives in a floating panel (the orange disk button, bottom-right) that stays out of your way until you need it. Lightweight, dependency-free, vanilla JS — same philosophy as its sibling, Prompt Commander.

## 🆕 What's New in v2.2.0

### 🧹 A calmer, less crowded panel

- The three always-on rows of backup/restore/storage buttons are gone from every tab — they now live in one tidy ⚙ Tools menu in the header (Backup Config, Backup Library, Restore Library, Storage & Cleanup). More room for your snapshots.

- Import History shows only on the Imported tab, and the "keep N auto-saves" control only on the 🤖 Auto tab — each tab shows just the tools that belong to it.

### 🔍 One search, everywhere

- The search box on every tab now speaks the full query language model:pony, steps:>=30, -blurry, OR, "phrases", wildcards…), scoped to that tab — no more weak "prompt/label only" filter. The 🔎 Search tab still searches across all tabs at once.

### ❓ A real Help card

- A new header ? button opens a plain-language guide to the whole extension — what snapshots are, a tour of the tabs, taking and loading, organizing and comparing, the Tools menu — plus a beginner-friendly Searching section with clickable examples you can try in one click. ### 🔎 Dedicated Search tab

- A global search across every tab at once (Native, Auto, Imported) — no more hunting tab by tab. Each result shows a source badge and a "why it matched" strip that highlights your term right in the prompt, label, or model where it was found dogs finds Dogs).

- A real query language: plain words search everything; -term excludes; OR / | matches either; "phrases" match exactly; field filters like model:pony, lora:detail, cat:Portraits, seed:1234, fav:true; numeric/date ranges like steps:>=30, cfg:6..8, date:>=2026-07-01; and wildcards like drag*.

- Saved & recent searches as one-click chips, plus a ? Syntax helper with clickable examples.

### ⚙️ Configurable auto-save slots

This is a huge overhaul release — the library grew from a snapshot list into a full generation-management suite:

### ⚖️ Compare view

- Pick any two snapshots (even across pages or tabs) and see every parameter side-by-side with the differences highlighted. Finally answer "what did I change between the good one and the bad one?"

### 🤖 Auto-snapshot

- Opt-in toggle that silently saves a snapshot after every generation — the real seed, the produced image as thumbnail, everything. Never lose a happy accident again.

- Auto-saves live in their own tab, keep only the last 20 (⭐ favorite one to protect it forever), and the disk button pulses green so you know it worked. Default: off.

### 🎯 Richer capture

- LoRA badges — every <lora:...> in a snapshot's prompt shows as a purple badge on the card, and search matches LoRA names.

- ControlNet capture (best-effort) — enabled units' model, module, weight, and guidance range are saved and restored. (Input images are not captured — re-drop those yourself.)

### 🗑️ Delete with Undo

- No more scary confirm dialogs. Deleting moves snapshots to a trash folder and pops an Undo toast. Trash auto-purges after 7 days, or empty it on demand.

### 🏷️ Category manager

- Rename or delete whole categories from a proper manager modal. Deleted categories move their snapshots safely to General.

### ☑ Bulk select

- Select-mode checkboxes across pages: bulk delete (with one-click undo of the whole batch) and bulk export to a single JSON file.

### 🗄️ Storage & Cleanup

- See exactly what your library weighs on disk, find and remove orphaned thumbnails, review backups, and empty the trash — all from one modal.

## 📦 Installation

Drop the extension folder into your WebUI's extensions/ directory as sd-webui-state-commander (the folder name matters — thumbnails are served from that path) and restart. No dependencies, no build step, no API keys.

Compatible with Auto1111 and Forge / Forge-Neo.

## 💡 Why Use It

If you generate in volume, your best results are separated by dozens of forgotten parameter tweaks. State Commander makes generation state a first-class thing you can save, name, organize, compare, and bring back — like save-states for an emulator, but for Stable Diffusion.
