Darling was trained to capture the charm of mid-century storybook and decorative illustration. Not just the colors and character design, but some of the quirks of old printed artwork as well.

Because of that, you may occasionally see aged paper edges, slightly distressed printing, faded pigments, subtle print imperfections, or an illustrated offset page-like border. These are part of Darling’s learned vintage character and will vary naturally between generations.

If you prefer a cleaner, full-bleed composition, try adding:

full-bleed edge-to-edge illustration, continuous painted scenery extending beyond all four edges

Darling also loves rosy cheeks, dreamy pastels, ridiculously charming animals, handsome men, pretty women, fantasy subjects, and apparently anything else you can convince it belongs in an impossibly wholesome mid-century universe.
