Tudor Dress Fashion | Hollywood Version

Fun Fact: During this period, everyone wore a hat in public. It was, indeed, against the law for men or women to appear in public without their head's covered. Fines levied were ruinous (up to a week's wages for each offense). I read this on the internet. It's true.

I've always loved Hollywood's take on Tudor fashion, which is about as historically accurate as Pearl Harbor or Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, or (cough) The Tudors.

But, you can't blame them mostly (I can blame Pearl Harbor, I hope Michael Bay steps on a Lego every morning), telling a Period story and costume design go hand-in-hand, and you're there for the show.

So, I merged some probably maybe not sure mostly not accurate "recreation" photos with wildly not accurate photos into a training set, made them shake hands, and created this. I focused almost exclusively on ones with the arc headpiece, as I didn't want to confuse SD with the weirder tricornish or square ones. The stiff-front corset is better the more real you go, anime has their own take on those things.
