Thin–Stocky — Character Proportions Slider

Long and lean, short and stout. Build characters with character.

Thin–Stocky is a bidirectional SDXL concept slider for exploring exaggerated body proportions, silhouettes, and physical archetypes.

Rather than simply adjusting body weight, this slider influences the overall structure and presentation of a character, allowing you to explore everything from elongated, slender figures to compact, powerfully built personalities.

Negative weights: Thin

Push characters toward taller-looking, narrower, more elongated proportions. Useful for lanky figures, gaunt adventurers, eccentric scholars, stylized fantasy races, and unusual character silhouettes.

Positive weights: Stocky

Build broader, shorter-looking, more compact characters with substantial torsos, thicker limbs, and powerful silhouettes. Perfect for dwarves, gnomes, fantasy bruisers, comic characters, and anyone who looks like they could headbutt a castle wall.

Character creation possibilities

  • Explore dramatically different silhouettes for fantasy and science-fiction characters.

  • Create dwarves, gnomes, giants, goblins, warriors, and eccentric NPCs.

  • Develop distinctive physical archetypes for comics, games, and illustrated stories.

  • Exaggerate existing character proportions without completely rewriting the prompt.

  • Experiment with caricature, heroic proportions, and stylized anatomy.

Usage

Start around ±1 for relatively modest changes and increase gradually for stronger transformations.

Higher weights can influence apparent height, limb proportions, pose, and overall composition—not just body thickness. This is a broad character-proportion tool rather than a precise anatomical measurement slider.

Results will vary depending on the subject, prompt, and checkpoint. Existing character archetypes can amplify the effect considerably.

A note on character design: A memorable silhouette is often worth more than a hundred costume details. Thin–Stocky is intended to help you discover those silhouettes.

Garden gnomes sold separately. Motorcycle club membership not included.
