Paints any subject as a flat gouache folk-art illustration, the way Amanda Visell paints her figures and toys. Colors are saturated reds, blues and greens. Shapes are bold and simple, with dark outlines and a mid-century picture-book feel. It handles animals and character figures best, but people, streets and landscapes take the look as well.
