Recipe

  1. 30 tsp coffee powder

  2. 30 tsp washing soda

  3. 12 tsp vitamin C

1 roll of Ilford FP4 135-36 (ISO 125) film was tested with this recipe, and the strip was exposed and developed sometime in August. Unfortunately, I only got around to documenting it now. So, the initial idea was to see if increasing the coffee concentration could tint and soften the negatives. This was achieved quite well, and I'm thrilled with the results. The washing soda concentration was intentionally increased to 30 teaspoons as well, to wash out as much of the tinting as possible, balancing the effects of soda and coffee somewhere in a pleasant middle.

Fixation proceeds, as usual, for 10 minutes with the usual fixing salt
