Mangled Merge XL Reviews

Very fun checkpoint. One of my favorites and just keeps getting better.

Albedo doesn't seem to be updated anymore, so I'm glad to see another model take on the role of building a [combined wisdom] model. Above all, this approach guarantees a better "dictionary adherence" stat than any other approach. The aesthetics in Mangled Merge are very good, which may be associated with its dictionary, that is, it has an excellent grasp of various artstyles and artists, which can be mixed and matched for whatever results you're hoping for. Mangled Merge seems not to work with most Lora, which makes it more difficult to control. It does have a "word soup" issue, and though this is an issue throughout the SDXL family, this seems to be where Mangled most fails against other SDXL models that I use. While the dictionary is large, it doesn't do very well on caring about sentence order, grammar, etc, and thus has lots of prompt bleed/etc.
