The first ever comic was made by the Swiss caricaturist Rodolphe Töpffer, known as The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck in English, and did not actually have a comic cover at all.
There's an old saying, " Don't judge a book by its Cover", well comic books are screaming for you to do just the opposite of that. Covers can make or break a comic, and they are designed to grab your eye, get you intrigued and most importantly for you to pick up the book and turn the page.
The idea here is to guide the AI into making some compelling and interesting modern comic book covers. The text works ok, I would say about 65% of the time. This can help flesh out the design of the cover, which can later be altered and improved with inpaining or Photoshop.
Best weight is from 0.8 to 1. Resolution I use is 828x1280, which scales to the correct size for most comics.
Best way to structure a prompt is " a comic cover of (insert here), text "(insert here)"
Good to add things like comic logo, outline.
You can control the style of the comic, the era, the cartoonyness. I recommend experimenting with lots of different buzz words.
I have fully captioned all the comics, including the publisher logos, but so far only prompting marvel and dc seems to work. I did use a lot of different publishers such as image, dark horse, top cow, dynamite, boom, etc etc.
