Ahoy!

Back at it with another sea-themed LORA! (I swear It's not intentional) This time I tried to turn a very stylized, cartoon character into another style, with great success. A lot of people say it's simply not possible but the trick is in the tagging and making sure appropriate tags absorb different parts of the image composition. Manual, brief tagging always has the best results.

Put in toon \(style\) for cartoon style, remove this tag or put it in negative if you want to try different tags!

I used a tiny dataset of bad-to-terrible 9 images, which is why I'm surprised it even worked in the first place, but I guess a lot of trainers don't give enough credit to tagging. This is V2, as I simply used an autotagger for V1 and it turned out terrible even after pruning.

  • Important! If you want try different styles, you might have to put toon \(style\) in the negative.

  • Use realistic, photo in POSTIVE prompt to get a digital painting look. Avoid 3d tag in general as it creates really ugly results that look like bad 3d renders. It's best to use a photorealistic Pony offshoot if you want a photo look.

  • As a more general tip, use score_9, score_8_up, score_7_up, score_6_up, score_5_up, score_4_up, (the full string) for details. If you a put realistic, photo in NEGATIVE prompt it will give you a more anime look, and if you put in score_9, or score_4_up, alone, you will get a more flatcolor sort of look.

  • Background is a bit overfit and it may show up as grey or cropped in some seeds, which is my mistake for misstagging it, but you can put in simple background to remedy it if it causes too much trouble.

  • Note! The tag is different in the training data, it has the testing epoch number behind it. Edit it if you want to replicate my results.

Standard prompt: FLPJCK, toon \(style\), 1boy, blonde hair, striped shirt, scarf, hat, blue pants, full body

Enjoy!
