Diego Rivera Style SDXL Reviews
Beautiful rendering of the style. Thanks for your efforts with these.
This LoRA, Diego Rivera Style, caught my interest as I realised I’d never tried prompting for murals. The painting style was quite appealing too, so I’ve had a good play with it. I found it to be quite a strong LoRA - but reducing the weight too much seemed to lose the signature style. In the end I found a weight of 0.9 worked well for short/medium prompts and I only went up to 1.0 for long prompts. Rather than use Diego Rivera’s typical subject matter, I was interested to see the style applied to different things, so I fired a few wildcard batch runs at it. Most checkpoints I tried were happy with this LoRA but the results with Clarity XL appealed to me most so that’s what the review pics are done with.
I’m really pleased with the output - a lot of prompts that normally produce blah results were transformed! e.g. in the review pics you’ll see a still life with a coffee pot, cup, and person in the background. Without the Diego Rivera Style LoRA, that prompt usually gives a pleasant enough isolated coffee pot with cubist’y style patterning. With the LoRA it’s transformed into a work of art :-) Hmm, well pseudo-art, this being Stable Diffusion. But it’s nice!
Same with lots of other prompts - OK-but-boring transformed into much more interesting pictures. Some might be a bit surreal since that's my personal preference.
The hit rate was high - I can ask for no more! :-)
Hits here meaning just prompting in a1111/Forge with HiresFix only (no extra detailers/controlnet/etc) and getting results that I would be willing to spend a bit of time on with inpaint/Pshop/etc.
Excellent LoRA - I’ll be keeping it around.
