xDElysium – model based on the style of the video game "Disco Elysium" (2019)
Trained using the images of the portraits and their characters, and also of the skills, there is no fanart or other images from the game.
Flux version:
I know that a user had already made a model, that's why I hadn't done it myself yet, but I decided to do it myself to see if I could do it better. I trained it with the tag "xdelysium" and with detailed captions of Florence, also with the portraits of the skills that the author of the other model had omitted. At first I was not very happy with the results, because just with the tag and any detailed prompt, it generates very "GTA" images and plastic-looking faces with Flux, which is not the idea. I found a way around it with techniques similar to SDXL, starting each prompt with:
“xDElysium, painterly style, expressionism, rough strokes, visible brushstrokes, rawness, hand-painted backgrounds, oil painting, visible impasto: < < Your prompt goes here > >”
and even so it is difficult to avoid if you don't use some de-distilled version of Flux, or Nunchaku, where you can use negative prompts to add remove “text, photo, photorealism, realism” (sometimes it also generates text).
Even so, in the positive prompt, always avoid words like digital artwork, image; always emphasize painting, painted, brushstrokes, etc.
Finally, I can be more than satisfied with the results, but possibly the old version of SDXL knows how to do the artistic style better.
SDXL version:
The trigger is “painting by xDElysium”, if you want to imitate something like the expression of Harrier Du Bois, I recommend a prompt like the following:
“portrait of man, painting by xDElysium, smiling, medium long hair, lopsided arrogant and disturbing smiling, looking at viewer, wearing suit, ridiculous tie, wide collar shirt, internal struggle, cynicism, self-destruction, alcoholic, painterly style, expressionism, rough strokes, visible brushstrokes, rawness, viscerality, limited color palette, dark and muted tones, somber and melancholic atmosphere, hand-painted backgrounds, oil painting, high contrast, dramatic lighting”
However, you can also choose not to use those dark tags and try some happier ones, with more vivid colors and it will turn out very well.
For both versions I am using a high CFG of 8
I challenge you to post your best Harry!
