About this Model

This LyCORIS:Locon model, eyedirectionV1.8, is for orienting the direction of the eye without using the popular keywords "looking away" in the positive prompt. The model changes eye direction while minimizing large head turns. "looking away" is not bad if we want significant head turns, but for subtle turns it is too much for some of our setups.

Overall, if you want control over eye directions, subtle head turns and some facial expressions, without using ControlNet but, through text prompts only, then this model will give you additional utilities. Also, I have tested this with realistic and anime model checkpoints and works well; just adjust the weight till you see results.

How to Apply

Trigger: eyedirection

Settings:

Weight: 0.3 - 0.5 (or more till you see results without image burnouts)

Methods: DPM++ 2M/2Sa/SDE Karras, Euler a (also experiment with other methods)

Steps: 20 - 30 (less steps for portraits and more for full body or highly detailed image)

CFG: 7-14 (more to follow the prompt and less to be randomly creative)

Hires. fix is optional but is also good in fixing pixelation problems.

Positive prompt keyword options (adjust the weight till you see results):

eyes up, eyes down, eyes up left, eyes up right, eyes down left, eyes down right, eyes left, eyes right, looking above, looking below, looking sideways, eyes left looking sideways, eyes right looking sideways, eyes up looking above, eyes down looking below, eyes up right looking above, eyes down right looking below, eyes up left looking above, eyes down left looking below

ex: girl, <lyco:eyedirectionV1.8:0.3>, eyedirection, (eyes down looking below, slender, short hair:1.5), (plain shirt:1.4), (white background:1.3), (solo, portrait:1.2), (best quality, high quality:1.1), ultra detailed 8k cg, realistic

For random eye direction, at least the word "eyes" must be present in the prompt:

ex: girl, <lyco:eyedirectionV1.8:0.3>, eyedirection, (brown eyes, slender, short hair:1.5), (plain shirt:1.4), (white background:1.3), (solo, portrait:1.2), (best quality, high quality:1.1), ultra detailed 8k cg, realistic

Negative prompt:

(eye contact, eye to eye, looking at camera, looks at camera, looking at viewer, looks at viewer:1.5), (worst quality, low quality:1.1), monochrome

Limitations

It will work in models with anime, realistic or photorealism in them, and since this is my very Very VERY first model, there are still room for improvements and upgrades, so expect for next versions. Also, use this model responsibly and within legalities.
