Chiaki Nanami - The Ultimate Gamer from Danganronpa 2 and the Danganronpa 3 anime. This lora should let you create images with Chiaki in a few different art styles and clothing options.
IMPORTANT: This sdxl lora is trained on the same data as my original flux Chiaki Nanami lora. In short, this sdxl lora suffers a bit from being designed for a different system.
I trained using natural language for the captions rather than tags. So natural language prompts will probably give you the best results with this lora. However, it does fairly well with a combination of natural language and tags. I tossed some tags at it with random wildcard values and was surprised by how well some of them came out. You should find some examples in the gallery.
I trained on a few specific image types which you can replicate, to varying levels of success. I tried to include a range of the prompt options in the images so you can easily compare and contrast. But these are the major options.
Danganronpa the Animation: Use 'This is an anime screencap from Danganronpa The Animation' in the prompt to emulate the art style from the anime series Danganronpa the animation.
Danganronpa 3 (anime): Use "This is an anime screencap from Danganronpa 3."
Sprites from Danganronpa: Mention 'danganronpa sprite style' in the prompt to try emulating the art style of Danganronpa. For example, 'this image is in the danganronpa sprite style'. Despite the name, I trained on full screenshots, with and without the GUI, with this description along with character sprite rips. So in theory it should be able to 'danganronpafy' a full image.
Danganronpa 2 GUI: This doesn't work all that well. And the chance of getting legible text is very low. But you can give it a try with something like this. "The image uses danganronpa 2 GUI style with the danganronpa sprite style. The top right corner of the image has a danganronpa 2 GUI element that reads 'Chapter 4 Level 69', both of these words are in white text, with the 'Chapter 4' being outlined in black on top of a yellow rectangle. The top left of the image is outlined by a yellow bar with the black text 'Becoming'. Underneath Chiaki is dialogue text in a white outline, with black text that reads 'This is the example text.' Below this dialogue is a yellow rectangle with a black rectangle inside that reads 'AUTO' that has its corners rounded."
Danganronpa S GUI: This doesn't work all that well. And the chance of getting legible text is very low. But you can give it a try with variations on this text. "The image uses danganronpa S GUI style with the danganronpa sprite style. A speech bubble is in the bottom of the image and it says "This is test text!" The speech bubble is in front of Chiaki. There's a box with a blue background with white stars, and a grey arrow pointing right, beside the speech bubble. The text in the box says "Chiaki Nanami" and it is next to the speech bubble."
Clothing: You can try different clothing options with prompts like the following:
Standard outfit: The school uniform Chiaki wears for most of Danganronpa 2. "Chiaki Nanami is wearing her uniform from Danganronpa 2. Chiaki's hair slightly curls outwards, though the locks on either side of her face curl inwards. Chiaki Nanami's hair is a dusty light pink that is almost light brown. She has short straight bangs split towards the right, a white Galaga hairclip pinned to a lock of her hair. She has blossom pink eyes. She wears a white button-up shirt with a dark teal-gray front placket. She wears a light pink ribbon tied around her neck in a bow, with a pale beige pleated skirt. This also includes a one-button dark teal-gray hooded cardigan with gray horizontal lines running across the hem and sleeves, the Hope's Peak crest on the chest pocket. She also sports black thigh-high socks and light pink Mary-Jane style shoes with white soles."
Swimsuit: The white bikini Chiaki wears in Danganronpa S. "Chiaki Nanami's Danganronpa S swimsuit has a white ruffled bikini top with a white bow in the center. Her bikini bottom is white and ruffled. Chiaki's hair slightly curls outwards, though the locks on either side of her face curl inwards. Chiaki Nanami's hair is a dusty light pink that is almost light brown. She has short straight bangs split towards the right, a white Galaga hairclip pinned to a lock of her hair. She has blossom pink eyes."
Danganronpa 3 uniform: This is the uniform Chiaki wears during Danganronpa 3. "Chiaki Nanami's wearing her uniform from Danganronpa 3. Chiaki Nanami has short hair that slightly curls outwards, though the locks on either side of her face curl inwards. Chiaki Nanami's hair is a dusty light pink that is almost light brown. Chiaki has short straight bangs split towards the right, a white Galaga hairclip pinned to a lock of her hair. Chiaki Nanami has blossom pink eyes. Chiaki's uniform consists of a white button-up dress shirt with a red ribbon tied in a bow at the collar, with a warm brown blazer with a cream-colored hooded cardigan underneath her blazer. She also sports black thigh-high socks and light pink Mary-Jane style shoes with white soles."
Other clothing: The lora should be quite flexable with Chiaki's clothing so in theory you should be able to change it around faily easily. Though there are some issues with her clothing.
Clothing problems: Chiaki's cat hood and cat backpack tend to cause issues with the system thinking that there should be cats in the image, that Chiki is a cat girl, or both. Sometimes they work great, and sometimes they don't. It's made even worse by how often just a sliver of the backpack is shown in the official art. It's more remarkable that AI can train on it at all really. But you can add them with something like "Chiaki has her hood up over her head. Chiaki Nanami's hood has pointed ears on the top and two pink eye-like markings on the front. Chiaki is wearing a pale pink backpack with a white pocket, a plush cat head sewn at the top with a white ribbon tied in a bow at it's base." Chiaki's Galaga hairclip can be a little erratic too. It'll generally have a high chance of looking good in close-up shots. But otherwise it's a roll of the dice. It's usually fairly blurry in a lot of the official artwork, and since that's what this is trained on...
Locations: I didn't try to train on any specific locations, but some of them appeared enough in the training data that you might be able to improve your results by specifying areas from Danganronpa 1, 2 and Jabberwock island. Even just mentioning Jaberwock Island might be enough to help push things in the right direction. Between Danganronpa S and Danganronpa 2 there was a lot of Jabberwock Island in the training data.
Note: Chiaki's hair is annoyingly inconsistent in official material. The system can get a little confused about her hair color because spike chunsoft gets a little confused about her hair color too. When looking into it I saw a comment saying her hair is "Chiaki colored". A sentiment I've had to agree with because I'm never quite happy with how it turns out. Thankfully the lora seems fairly flexable with tweaking Chiaki's hair color. If you want to go more with the pink side of things then try "Chiaki Nanami's hair is a dusty pink." If you want to go more to light brown with a hint of pink, try "Chiaki Nanami's hair is a dusty light pink that is almost light brown."
Training material: The majority of the training data came from Danganronpa 2, Danganronpa S, Danganronpa 3, and with as much official supplementary material added in as possible. The game-related data includes all sprites and a handful of in-game screenshots. LLM captioned, then hand edited. I then added style training from Danganronpa the Animation and additional data from Danganronpa 3. With the former I had some concern that it might contaminate the training but testing with and without didn't show any differences. So I kept it in to allow for easier style changes without needing additional loras.
PS: In honor of Chiaki, visual shadowgate jokes. It's unfourtunate that Danganronpa Beautiful Days didn't have more visual descriptions of the The Lazy Adventures of Nanamin The Mercenary cast's fantasy costumes.
