"Fairy kei" is a Japanese fashion based on children's popculture from the 80's. "Yume kawaii" is a style from 2013, that mainly focuses on a "girl's dream".
Both styles have a pastel colour palette and incorporate cute motifs and characters. In my opinion these two have quite a lot in common.
