Frank Cheyne Papé (1878–1972) was a British illustrator best known for his intricate and highly imaginative works in the fantasy and fairy tale genres. His detailed illustrations often combined rich decorative elements with mythological and fantastical themes, drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite influences. Papé's work is celebrated for its flowing lines, ornate patterns, and elaborate depictions of mythical creatures, knights, and otherworldly scenes. He illustrated a number of notable books during the early 20th century, including works by James Branch Cabell and Anatole France.
