James Christian Kimmel, born November 13, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, has become one of America's most prominent television personalities and comedians. After his family relocated to Las Vegas during his childhood, he began cultivating his entertainment career through radio broadcasting.

Early Career

Starting as a radio DJ during his college years at the University of Nevada and Arizona State University, Kimmel worked his way through various radio stations before landing in Los Angeles[1]. His breakthrough came in 1994 when he joined KROQ's "The Kevin & Bean Show" as Jimmy the Sports Guy.

Television Breakthrough

In 1997, Kimmel made his television debut as co-host of Comedy Central's "Win Ben Stein's Money," where he won an Emmy Award for Best Game Show Host in 1999[4]. He then co-created and hosted "The Man Show" with Adam Carolla in 1999, establishing his production company, Jackhole Industries.
